SkyBus Melbourne Wins at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards
Fast-growing airport transfer service takes home bronze in the Specialised Tourism Services category at the national tourism awards.
Melbourne, Australia – SkyBus, the operator of Melbourne’s express CBD to airport transport service, took the Bronze prize back to their Melbourne offices after coming up trumps in the ‘Specialised Tourism Services’ category of the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards on Friday 24 February.
The Qantas Australian Tourism Awards are the tourism industry’s peak awards for recognising and promoting excellence in tourism. First established by the Federal Government in 1985, the Australian Tourism Awards see a wide range of tourism businesses enter their state and territory Tourism Awards. Over 200 reach the prestigious status of becoming a national finalist.
Commenting on the win, Co-CEO at SkyBus Michael Sewards said “We’re overjoyed to be recognised for our hard work at a national level. We would like to thank everyone involved for making this happen, particularly to our team here in Melbourne who work exceptionally hard to help deliver our service.”

SkyBus is steadily expanding in Melbourne. Over the last two years, SkyBus have purchased 35 new vehicles and introduced new services to both Frankston and St Kilda, a new route connecting Avalon Airport to the CBD. Both express services from Melbourne CBD operate 24/7, with departures leaving from Southern Cross Station every five minutes during peak periods.
