Getting to the Grand Prix
The Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix 2025 runs from Thursday 13 March to Sunday 16 March 2025. SkyBus is the fast, reliable and affordable way to start your journey. Board our Melbourne City Express service to Southern Cross Station in the heart of the city. Connect with Melbourne’s famous tram network to get to your gate at the Albert Park circuit.

SkyBus picks up kerbside at Melbourne Airport T4, T3 & T1 and travels express to Southern Cross Station in the city. There are a number of nearby tram routes servicing the Albert Park precinct. We’ve provided some examples of these below. Other routes are also available and additonal services will be running during the event so ensure you check the Yarra Trams website to confirm your journey details, check timetables and ticket conditions prior to travel.

Melbourne City Express operates 7 days per week between 4am and 1am with frequent departures between Melbourne Airport and Melbourne City.

Peninsula Express St Kilda & Elwood stops
St Kilda & Elwood Stop Closures 13 to 16 March 2025
Due to the Melbourne Grand Prix, Peninsula Express buses won’t be dropping off or picking up in St Kilda and Elwood from Thursday 13 March to Sunday 16 March (inclusive).
Customers travelling to St Kilda & Elwood are advised to catch the Melbourne City Express to Southern Cross Station and use a connecting route 96 tram from Bourke St. The reverse applies for travel from St Kilda to Melbourne Airport.
